On October 15, 2009, she was a featured artist in Woo Yi Kyung's album Look at Me with the song "Look At Me".

On April 13, 2010 also she was a featured artist in Lee Hyori's fourth album H-Logic with the song "Bring It Back" together with After School's Bekah.

She sang in the soundtrack of MBC's My Princess, with the song "Oasis". The song was released on February 7, 2011.

She was also featured in Hyuna's album Bubble Pop! in the song ‘Downtown’. The album was released on July 5, 2011.

Ji Yoon joined KBS's Immortal Song 2 last June as a replacement of Song Ji Eun of Secret due to their Japanese promotions. "I felt that her vocals were more charming than [4Minute's] main vocalist Gayoon," the producer of the show said. On the show, professionals sing competitively and are judged by a studio audience of 200. She sang "We Meet Again" in an episode broadcast on July 15. And joining on KBS's Immortal Song 2, she won together with DJ Koo with the song "I (Nan)" originally by Clon against Super Junior's Kyu Hyun and Son Ho Young.

Previously known for her trademark short hair and oversized glasses, the Korean media noted Ji-yoon's "long-hair transformation" in September and praised the new look as "sexy and innocent". In October, Chosun Ilbo ran supposedly unposed pictures of Ji Yoon and fellow 4Minute member Ga Yoon.

On December 22, representatives of Cube Entertainment revealed that following the debut of their first unit group, Trouble Maker the second unit group has been chosen to be her along with 4Minute member Ga Yoon. They revealed that the two will be debuting as a unit after the release of 4minute’s comeback album and promotions on 2012. They eventually chose the name 투윤, romanized as 2Yoon.”

On October 23, 2012 Oh Taeho has announced the casting of his new musical, "My Love by My Side" There will be a double casting of Jeon Jiyoon and musical actress Yoo Joohye, who will act out the role of a girl who dreams of being a ballerina but fortunately they chose her to play the role of this girl. Musical actor Seo Jihoon will play the role of the guitarist who falls in love with her. "My Love By My Side" will open from December 8, 2012 to January 20, 2013.

After Cube Entertainment's sub-unit Trouble Maker, there were plans for another sub-unit, this time composing of 4Minute's Ji-yoon and Ga-yoon. The sub-unit's name was later announced to be 2YOON. 2YOON released their debut EP and lead single, 24/7 on 17 January 2013.
