Better known by his stage name Tao is
maknae in Korea language or the youngest member Chinese-South Korean boyband
EXO-M, EXO subgroup. Tao is a martial artist, and has been practicing Wushu
since he was six years old. He has won first placed for many wushu
competitions. He was also awarded as 3rd Place in International Wushu
Competition and 1st Place in Qingdao Broadcasting Wushu Sword Competition. Tao
is a formal pupil at Humen Centre Primary School, one of the most prestigious
primary schools in Qingdao, and Qindao Middle School. When he stayed in Hong Kong, Tao won first
place in a free style rapping competition. He also won the “Top Rap Award” at
Beijing 3rd Annual College Street Jam. In 2011, Tao was cast into S.M.
Entertainment through the company's global casting system. Since he got to
debut in less than a year being a trainee, he is often bullied by the Korean
trainees.
